This is an example of how working through a problem using business tools can create innovative solutions.
In this example four inner city schools primary schools were having problems settling children down after the lunchtime break. This was eating into learning time.
The four schools got together with a business facilitator and fully defined the problem, with input teachers, lunchtime supervisors and the children themselves. The root causes turned out to be threefold:
The outcomes and methodology of the programme were all pulled together into a learning pack with a CD including a set of outdoor games from around the world.
