The Mentoring programme is one way of raising young people’s aspirations. It is designed for students who are nearing their GCSE exams, but could be adapted for other age groups.
The adult mentor supports the young person by working with them on a variety of topics aimed at helping them understand and achieve their potential.

GE Mentoring Recruitment (.ppt)
This is a Powerpoint presentation that you should adapt for your site. You will need to ask your partner school to input some information and add in your own contact details. Better still, get a member of the school staff to talk about their sections or use their own material.
If you have any experienced mentors in your business, this is a great chance to get them to speak about the programme.

In his own words, he talks about how valuable mentoring was to him. The sound is not great on this clip so ,if you do show it, you will need to make sure that you have speakers. His final comment is that mentoring “Is the best thing!”
